Services

Three areas of work. What connects them is the decision in front of you, not the technology underneath it.

Information technology

I sit on your side of the table. For twenty years that has meant researching the options, working out what the business actually needs, and directing a managed service provider to build it.

It is a specific role, and it is the one most often missing. Small firms usually either have nobody who can evaluate what an MSP recommends, or they have somebody technical enough to implement but not positioned to say no. I have spent enough time close to the work to know when an answer is wrong, and enough time accountable for the budget and the outcome to make the call.

In practice:

Artificial intelligence

Finding where AI genuinely earns its place, and putting the governance around it to use it responsibly. Platform selection, rollout, and the practical guardrails that have to exist before a firm handling confidential information turns a tool loose on client work.

This comes out of operator and administrator experience, including rolling out an enterprise AI platform end to end, and it shows in how the work gets built. Research that labels what it could not verify. Automations where the send decision stays with a person, enforced by configuration rather than by a promise. A readable record of what the tool actually did, for the times the standard admin logs do not show it. The case studies are mostly this kind of work.

Business consulting

Process, operations, and the strategy questions underneath both.

Who does what

Some of what an engagement needs is not mine to do. Saying so early is part of the value, and in every case there is somewhere specific for it to go.
